Ratzo Rizzo coat
Keeper of lizards and snakes
Ulcers

Our eyes locked

the inadequacies of the Witness Protection Program / the itch and scratch of heroin / the cut and paste of schizophrenia / the tedium of undercover narcotics / the steady gnawing of a low T-cell count

Finally a body shifted, folded the paper
this passing between us was the chance I needed
to turn my head away
